Welcome to Taskaroni! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Taskaroni platform operated by Appmakey LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). By using Taskaroni, you agree to these Terms.

1. What Taskaroni Is (and Isn't)

Taskaroni is a marketplace platform that connects people who need tasks done ("Customers") with people who can perform those tasks ("Service Providers").

Important: We are NOT:

  • A party to any agreements between Customers and Service Providers
  • An employer, contractor, or agent of any Service Provider
  • Responsible for the quality, safety, or legality of services performed
  • A payment processor for transactions between users
  • An insurer or guarantor of any work performed

We simply provide the tools for users to connect. What happens after that connection is between you and the other party.

2. Eligibility

To use Taskaroni, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Be located in the United States
  • Have the legal capacity to enter into contracts
  • Not have been previously banned from our platform

You may use Taskaroni as an individual or on behalf of a business.

3. Your Responsibilities

All Users:

  • You're responsible for your account security and all activity under your account
  • You must provide accurate, current information
  • You're responsible for paying any subscription fees to access our platform
  • You must comply with all applicable laws and regulations

Customers:

  • You're responsible for clearly describing tasks and requirements
  • You must ensure any task you post is legal in your jurisdiction
  • You're responsible for verifying Service Providers have necessary licenses, permits, or qualifications
  • You handle payment directly with Service Providers

Service Providers:

  • You're responsible for having the skills, licenses, and legal right to perform offered services
  • You must complete tasks as agreed with Customers
  • You're responsible for your own taxes, insurance, and legal compliance
  • You handle payment collection directly from Customers

4. Prohibited Activities

You may NOT use Taskaroni for:

  • Illegal activities or to promote illegal activities
  • Adult or sexual services
  • Medical or healthcare services
  • Any services requiring professional licenses you don't possess
  • Harassment, fraud, or deception
  • Violating anyone's intellectual property rights
  • Attempting to harm our platform or other users
  • Creating fake accounts or reviews
  • Any activity prohibited by law

5. No Vetting or Background Checks

WARNING: We do NOT currently:

  • Verify the identity of users beyond basic registration
  • Conduct background checks
  • Verify licenses, qualifications, or skills
  • Guarantee any user is who they claim to be

You interact with other users at your own risk. We strongly encourage you to:

  • Meet in safe, public places
  • Verify credentials independently
  • Use your own judgment and common sense
  • Report suspicious behavior

6. Payments

  • Platform Fees: We may charge subscription fees for platform access, paid directly to us
  • Task Payments: All payments between Customers and Service Providers are handled outside our platform. We are not involved in, and not responsible for, these transactions
  • Disputes: Payment disputes between users are your responsibility to resolve

7. Content and Intellectual Property

  • You retain ownership of content you post (task descriptions, profiles, reviews, etc.)
  • You grant us a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, modify, and display your content for any purpose, including operating and improving our platform
  • You're responsible for ensuring you have the right to post any content
  • We can remove any content at our discretion

8. Ratings and Reviews

When we implement our rating system:

  • Reviews should be honest and based on actual interactions
  • Fake reviews are prohibited and will result in account termination
  • We don't verify the accuracy of reviews
  • We may remove reviews that violate our policies

9. Disclaimers

TASKARONI IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT ANY WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.

We specifically disclaim responsibility for:

  • The quality, safety, or legality of any services performed
  • The truth or accuracy of any user content or claims
  • The ability or willingness of users to complete transactions
  • Any harm resulting from your interactions with other users

USE TASKARONI AT YOUR OWN RISK.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, APPMAKEY LLC WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF TASKARONI.

Our total liability to you for any claims related to our service will not exceed the amount you've paid us in platform fees in the past 12 months.

11. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Appmakey LLC from any claims, damages, or expenses (including attorney fees) arising from:

  • Your use of Taskaroni
  • Your interactions with other users
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any laws or third-party rights

12. Dispute Resolution

Arbitration Agreement: Any disputes between you and Appmakey LLC will be resolved through binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association, not through court litigation. This includes disputes about these Terms and our privacy practices.

Exceptions: Small claims court actions and injunctive relief for intellectual property violations are not subject to arbitration.

Class Action Waiver: You may only bring claims individually, not as part of any class or representative action.

13. Account Termination

  • We can suspend or terminate your account at any time for any reason
  • You can delete your account at any time
  • Sections that by their nature should survive (like indemnification and dispute resolution) remain effective after termination

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. We'll post the new version on this page with an updated date. Your continued use after changes means you accept the new Terms.

15. General Terms

  • These Terms are governed by the laws of the District of Columbia
  • If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect
  • These Terms are the entire agreement between you and us regarding Taskaroni
  • We're not liable for delays or failures caused by circumstances beyond our control
